Seasoned B2B marketers always takes the easy road. First is to identify your target market, there are several ways of doing it depending on your company's niche. After identifying it find a common ground, there's lots of it, example if you're selling construction services then it's a wide niche go for a Food Franchising Expo or Convention because its a good place of meeting owners, decision makers of various companies in the food industry face to face and in a casual atmosphere. Doing this will save you a great deal of time in doing the hit and miss leads generation thing. In my years spent in handling corporate accounts, I get things done quickly by going straight to the top and not inching my way from the bottom.
