There are many things to keep in mind when you are looking for ways to make money online. You have to be sure that you are ready to undertake a venture such as working online. Here are a few questions that you should ask yourself before getting ready to work online.

Do You Know Your Target Audience

You need to know your target audience before you get ready to try to make money online. You need to know where they hang out online and what you can offer them that they really need to buy. It cannot be stressed enough how important this is as if you do not take the time to know your target audience you will be setting yourself up for failure.

Are You Ready to Build a Website

Creating a website whether you do it yourself or hire someone to do it for you is very important if you want to be successful. You need to make sure that you are ready for the upkeep of a website so you can keep people's interest. You are going to find that it is more difficult than you think to be able to make money online without that help of a really well-made website.

Do You Have A Start-Up Budget

Now it is possible to start some online money making options without any start-up cash but you need to remember that if you want to keep your business going you are going to have to invest in it. No matter if it is for website hosting or new inventory you need to be sure that you will have money to keep your business moving along. You can even find ways to do this on a shoestring budget but you do need a budget.

This is just the start of the questions that need to be asked before you try to make money online. You need to do plenty of research and make sure that you are completely ready to make money from the internet so that you have the best chance of being successful.

If you fail to know your audience, then you have already failed in the quest to earn money online because those audience are the reason why your newly created website exists for. Failing to know the exact audience to target for your site and niche has already nipped the nails in the coffin of one's failure.

I agree with asking questions before getting into anything called business especially when it comes to working online as a freelancer or affiliate marketer or any online related jobs because it's with the information you have at hand that would give you all the background into what you want to engage in.

Knowing your target audience is very important because they are the reason for the existence of your online business because without them, there wouldn't be a success in what you need to do. Then it's very important to build your own business website which will help you to promote your business to your target audience and expect them to patronize your business and finally, you must be willing to invest in your business because money is used to acquire more money.

Knowing your target audience is easier said than done. It's not like, as a newbie, you have the capital to start a forum for collecting information like interests and preferences from customers. Most of the information you have is gotten from hearsay and assumption. Observing trends is a good way to understand what niche to get into, but ultimately, it is very difficult to get into the perfect niche, and sell the perfect product, and most sales depend on the marketing and the pitch that was made by the marketer. A website is slowly becoming a necessity for anyone interested in online work because everyone is doing it. Now, if you don't have your own, you are not able to compete.

Thus the reason why people may fail running FB Ads could be a bad niche or product, price too high, price too low, trust issues and the advertiser may not know how to properly target the right audience, in fact, there probably are quite a few reasons why any online business would fail, happens all the time, so no, they wont come just because you build it, you have to find the right methods to get people to your site and turn them into customers.

I know it is a cliche but if you are not among those people who can actually do work without supervision, then you have no business trying to make money online. You must at least be honest with yourself if you are going to make a living working online.

I think having a start-up budget is the most critical factor that she pointed out in trying to make money online. For example, Having only a smartphone might be possible, but your earning potential will be limited. You need to invest in particular things like a laptop/desktop computer, a headset with mic, a DSLR camera, and of course a decent-speed internet connection to be able to work online.

You should find your strengths and weaknesses as soon as possible. I know it sounds stupid, but writing down the thing you are good at and the areas that you are going to need help in. If you find professionals to deal and manage those things, then the process should be easy enough.

I would not consider pulling out paper and a pen stupid at all. In fact, if you are trying to come up with a name for yourself, then how can you not pull out some paper in a pen? You never know when you may have a good idea, and if you have no place to jot your notes down, then you may forget by the time you get back to the house, and you will always want to keep some type of notepad close to your work table, and if you have a mobile phone, then you should have no issues on finding some sort of notepad app for your mobile device, however, people that do not plan normally do not take notes.

It is funny how amazing ideas come to you when you are in some really unexpected places or least expect it. I like your idea of carrying a notepad wherever you go just in case you happen to have one of those eureka moments. If you search online you will be really surprised with the amount of great ideas people got while they were in the 'can'. I'm not saying, go to the toilet with a notepad per se, but always having a cell phone to right down your thoughts is not a bad idea.

"..... the advertiser may not know how to properly target the right audience..."

This is the most common reason why most people fail in their online business even when they have good services and products to offer, good niche and great site but they fail in the aspect of right targeting of the required audience needed for the success of the online business. This practically means the doom for such business because it's been offered or made aware to those who have zero interest in it, so there is no way for it to succeed.
